As I mentioned last week, we had a brief reprieve in the hockey schedule. It gave me a ton of time to get things done. Which is probably good because the full blown schedule starts this weekend and I’ll be spending 9 hours at rinks this weekend.
Actually, now that I mention it, I should track my time spent at arenas. Just for curiosity sake. Or entertainment purposes, however you choose to look at it.
Reasons I Need Caffeine This Week
- Boy #1 woke up in the middle of the night with major ear pain. Off to emerg to make sure that it was just routine aches and not something requiring antibiotics. From 11:30-1:00 I was driving or sitting in a waiting room. It could have been much worse, he’s fine and we could have been waiting until the wee hours of the morning, but it does require a caffeine boost to get through the rest of the work week. As an aside, why is it that these things crop up in the middle of the night? Why don’t they wait until daylight hours when the doctor’s office is open?
- The hockey schedule starts in earnest this weekend. All three are on the ice and Boy #1 is on twice on Saturday and once on Sunday.
- In between ice times, Boy #1 and Boy #2 have dentist appointments
- Husband has a scheduling conflict on Saturday. So that means that items #2 and #3 fall squarely on my shoulders alone
- Meet the Teacher night. It’s awkward. It’s long. There are people. People make it hard to introvert properly. Caffeine helps me people.
Now, I’m not making any promises but I will try to refrain from repeating myself when it comes to the time I spend in an arena. But my distaste for being cold may win out. Just know I tried.
